ALL RENTERS MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.

Scooter renters/drivers must be 18 years or older. Passengers must be at least 12 years old.

Can Am renters/drivers must be 22 years or older. Car/booster seats are not permitted.

Scooter renters/drivers must have previous experience driving a scooter or similar and the ability to operate safely. 

A $250 security deposit is required (paid by credit or debit, no Amex).

It is more fun and more safe if each person drives their own scooter. If you prefer to ride doubles, both passengers must be of reasonable height and weight based on the scooter’s limitations.

It is required that each driver have ample experience if driving with a passenger.

Scooter renters/riders please wear closed toed shoes (no sandals).

The Client assumes full responsibility for their safety and the risks associated with the operation of the rental equipment. Client is responsible for all damages to the rental equipment, to themselves, to their passengers and assumes 100% risk responsibility.

PRSR vehicles are not permitted to be driven on the highway nor off-road.

Both Scooters and Can Ams are great to cruise the coast through Old San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde & Carolina. Download Google Maps prior to pick-up if you'd like us to share route recommendations.

At Puerto Rico Scooter Rentals, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all our riders. To ensure a smooth rental process, kindly note the following policy details:

PAYMENT & CHECK-IN

• A non-refundable reservation deposit is required to reserve vehicle availability.
• The remaining balance and a $250 security deposit per unit will be collected at pickup.
• The same card used for the online reservation deposit and a matching valid driver’s license must be presented at check-in.
• American Express is not accepted. Cash deposits are not accepted.
• Rental time begins at the scheduled reservation time. Late arrivals will result in lost drive time.
• Reservations not picked up within 15 minutes of the scheduled reservation time may be cancelled and released for booking.

LIABILITY WAIVER

All renters, drivers and riders are required to sign a liability waiver prior to rental and assume all risks associated with the rental period.

SCOOTER RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Drivers must be 18+ years old
• Passengers must be 12+ years old
• Closed-toe shoes/sneakers are required
• Drivers must have previous experience operating a vehicle similar to a 200cc scooter and be able to demonstrate safe operation

CAN-AM RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Drivers must be 22+ years old
• Children requiring booster seats or car seats are not permitted

PROHIBITED USE

Vehicles are not permitted:

• On highways
• Off-road
• Outside the permitted zone of use

Use or possession of marijuana, alcohol or drugs during rental is strictly prohibited.

Puerto Rico Scooter & Can-Am Rentals reserves the right to deny or terminate any rental if a driver is deemed unable to safely operate the equipment. This includes unsafe operation, lack of experience, reckless behavior or suspected impairment by drugs or alcohol. No refunds will be issued in these situations.

ZONE OF USE

Vehicles are restricted to the Metro San Juan coastal region only and may not exceed 10 miles from the Puerto Rico Scooter Rentals location. Please clarify boundaries prior to departure if needed.

If PRSR equipment leaves the permitted zone of use or enters the highway, the engine may automatically disengage and security deposits may be forfeited.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the reservation time.
• Approved cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method less a processing fee.
• No refunds will be issued for:
  • Late cancellations
  • No-shows
  • Weather conditions
  • Denied rentals due to unsafe operation
